He told Florida Politics: "The massive loss of innocent civilian life in Gaza is unacceptable," and said he would not support U.S. taxpayer dollars being used for offensive weapons or military actions that violate U.S. law, human rights, or international humanitarian law.

He also criticized settlement expansion in the West Bank and said U.S. funding for Israel's defense "should not mean unconditional support for the policies or actions of the Israeli government."
